Yeon-Rim Signature Silk Box

A silk-finished box built from layers of naturally dyed hanji.

Sheets of mulberry hanji are laminated until the form holds, then faced with silk for a soft sheen. The corners are folded over rather than butted, so no seam shows on the outside.

Each piece is made by hand, so colour and grain vary. No two are alike, even under the same name.
